Can a quick nap save night shift Workers' hearts?
NCT ID NCT05955729
Summary
This study tested whether taking a 30-minute nap during night shifts could improve blood vessel function in healthcare workers. Researchers followed 80 nurses and care assistants over 12 weeks to see if scheduled naps could reduce risks linked to poor sleep, like heart disease and high blood pressure. They measured blood vessel health, blood pressure, fatigue levels, and sleep quality before and after the nap program.
