Can a 30-Minute night shift nap protect Nurses' hearts?
NCT ID NCT05955729
Summary
This study tested whether taking a 30-minute nap during night shifts could improve blood vessel function and reduce heart disease risk in healthcare workers. Researchers followed 80 nurses and care assistants working 12-hour night shifts over 12 weeks, measuring blood vessel health, blood pressure, and sleep quality. The goal was to see if scheduled naps could counteract the negative health effects of night shift work.
