First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding nicotinic acid (a form of vitamin B3) to a beta-blocker could help prevent migraines in adults with moderate to severe headaches. Fifty-eight participants took either 500 mg, 1000 mg, or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in the number of migraine days and pain severity to see if the vitamin made a difference.
