First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding nicotinamide (a form of vitamin B3) to a three-drug regimen can safely and quickly clear tuberculosis bacteria from the lungs. About 165 adults with drug-susceptible TB will receive either the standard treatment or the new combination. The goal is to see if more people become bacteria-free by week 8.
