First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding nicotinamide (a form of vitamin B3) to a standard three-drug regimen can safely and effectively treat drug-susceptible tuberculosis (TB) in adults. About 165 participants with newly diagnosed, drug-sensitive TB will receive the combination or standard care. The goal is to see if the new combo clears TB bacteria from sputum faster and with fewer side effects.
