Drug trial tests doses to help patients swallow safely
NCT ID NCT05551182
Summary
This study tested whether a lower or higher dose of the drug nicergoline was better at improving swallowing problems (dysphagia) in adults. It involved 92 people with stroke, Parkinson's disease, or dementia who had trouble swallowing. Researchers compared how much swallowing improved and monitored side effects over 12 weeks to find the best dose.
