Summary
This study follows 420 children in the pediatric ICU who are at risk for acute kidney injury. Researchers use a biomarker test (NGAL) and other assessments to predict which children will develop fluid overload and need dialysis. The goal is to improve timing of treatments and avoid unnecessary procedures.
