Does picking a Baby's doctor early get that first checkup done faster?

NCT ID NCT07329192

Summary

This study looked at whether choosing a family doctor for a newborn before leaving the hospital helps parents get the baby's first required checkup done on time. Researchers followed 120 families with healthy, full-term babies. Parents filled out a survey at the hospital and answered another one by phone a month later to see if the checkup happened within the recommended second week of life.
