Tiny cuts in wounds show promise for healing diabetic foot sores
NCT ID NCT05189470
Summary
This study tested whether making tiny, controlled cuts in the bed of a diabetic foot ulcer could help it heal. 100 participants with long-lasting ulcers were randomly assigned to receive either this new 'inforatio' technique plus standard wound care, or standard care alone. The goal was to see if the minor cuts, which aim to trigger a helpful healing response, led to more ulcers being fully healed within 20 weeks.
