New oral drug trial aims to boost cancer treatment for Tough-to-Treat breast cancer

Summary
This early-stage trial is testing the safety and best dose of a new oral drug called ASTX727 when given alongside standard chemotherapy (paclitaxel) and immunotherapy (pembrolizumab) for metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. The study aims to see if adding ASTX727 can help shrink or control tumors better than the standard treatment alone. It will enroll about 32 adults with this advanced form of breast cancer.
