Summary
This study tests two different treatment sequences for people with high-risk locally advanced rectal cancer. One group gets standard long-course chemoradiation followed by chemotherapy, while the other gets short-course radiation followed by a combination of chemotherapy and an immunotherapy drug. The goal is to see which approach leads to better survival and more chances to avoid surgery by achieving a complete response.
