First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study is developing a new scoring system called REXs to help doctors decide when ICU patients on breathing machines are ready to have their breathing tube removed. The goal is to reduce the number of patients who need the tube put back in within 48 hours. About 470 adults in intensive care will be included to test how well the score works.
