New scan aims to spot hidden thyroid cancer

Summary
This study is testing a new type of imaging scan to see if it can better detect where thyroid cancer has spread in the body. Researchers will compare this new I-124 PET scan to the standard I-123 scans that are currently used. About 62 adults with thyroid cancer that may have spread will receive the new scan to see if it finds cancer more accurately.
