Targeted radiation before transplant could give leukemia patients a fighting chance

NCT ID NCT07157514

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for people with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who have active disease. Before a stem cell transplant, patients receive a targeted radiation drug (131I-apamistamab) along with standard chemotherapy and low-dose whole-body radiation. The goal is to find the best dose and see if this combination helps patients live longer compared to standard pre-transplant treatment. About 306 adults aged 18 and older will take part.
