Precision chemo blitz aims to spare patients major surgery in rare cancer fight
NCT ID NCT07320508
Summary
This study is testing a new, two-step treatment plan for adults with advanced sinonasal adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. First, all participants receive three sessions of targeted, high-dose chemotherapy delivered directly to the tumor to try to shrink it. Based on how well the tumor responds, patients then follow one of two personalized paths: either surgery followed by radiation, or radiation alone to potentially avoid major surgery.
