NCT ID NCT06241248
First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new rapid test (OCEAN Dx) to identify bacteria in the blood of ICU patients with sepsis. The goal was to see if it works as well as standard blood cultures, which take 48-72 hours. A faster result could help doctors choose the right antibiotic sooner. The study involved 110 adults in the ICU with suspected infections.
