New Two-Pronged attack on aggressive prostate cancer
NCT ID NCT07182279
Summary
This study is testing a two-step treatment for men with high-risk prostate cancer that hasn't spread. First, patients receive a single, strong dose of targeted radiation directly to the prostate. Four to eight weeks later, they have robotic surgery to remove the prostate. Some patients with the highest-risk features will also receive a few months of hormone-blocking drugs after surgery to try to prevent the cancer from coming back. The main goals are to see if this combined approach is safe and if patients can complete the full treatment plan.
