New scan aims to be a better cancer hunter

NCT ID NCT01543659

Summary

This study tested a new type of imaging scan to see if it could more accurately find prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, especially bones. Researchers compared this experimental scan to standard scans and optional biopsies in 77 men with advanced prostate cancer. The goal was to improve how doctors find cancer, which could help guide better treatment decisions in the future.
