Revolutionary scanner aims to cut cancer scan times in half
NCT ID NCT04478318
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scanner called uEXPLORER that can image the entire body at once. Researchers want to see if this new scanner can produce equally clear pictures of cancers (lung cancer, lymphoma, and melanoma) in a much shorter scan time compared to standard scanners. The goal is to improve patient comfort and efficiency without sacrificing the quality of the images doctors use for diagnosis and staging.
