New imaging agent could sharpen detection of metastatic pancreatic cancer

Summary

This phase 3 trial is testing whether a new radioactive dye called [18F]FAPI-74, used with a PET/CT scan, can better detect if pancreatic cancer has spread to other parts of the body. About 200 adults with pancreatic cancer will receive one dose of the dye and then be scanned. Researchers will compare the scan results to standard methods to see if it is more accurate and safe.
