Sharper scans for childhood cancer?

NCT ID NCT03541720

Summary

This study is testing a new radioactive tracer called 18F-DA for PET scans to see if it can create clearer pictures of neuroblastoma and pheochromocytoma tumors than the current standard. About 20 children and young adults with known or suspected tumors will receive the new tracer and undergo PET scanning to check its safety and see where it goes in the body. The goal is to see if this new method could eventually replace the older, less clear imaging technique.
