New injection aims to ease agony after stomach surgery

NCT ID NCT07274215

Summary

This study is testing a new pain-blocking injection given during weight loss surgery. Researchers want to see if it reduces stomach pain and nausea in the first day after the operation, which could help patients recover faster and need less strong pain medicine. About 180 patients will be randomly assigned to receive either the real nerve-blocking medicine or a placebo injection during their surgery.
