New injection could ease recovery after stomach surgery

NCT ID NCT07274215

Summary

This study is testing a new pain-blocking injection given during weight loss surgery. Researchers want to see if it reduces deep stomach pain and nausea in the first day after surgery, which could help patients recover faster and need fewer painkillers. The study will involve 180 patients, with half receiving the real injection and half receiving a placebo, and neither the patients nor their doctors will know which one they got.
