New bone shell technique aims to fortify dental implants

NCT ID NCT07394179

Summary

This study is testing a new surgical method for placing cheekbone implants in people with severe upper jawbone loss. Researchers will compare two techniques: one uses a special bone shell to help build new bone around the implant, while the other uses a soft tissue graft. The goal is to see which method better improves the health and appearance of the bone and gums around the implant for long-term success.
