New scan aims to spot hidden cancer spread

NCT ID NCT05747625

Summary

This study is testing a new type of imaging scan to see if it can better detect when head and neck cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Researchers will give 60 participants a special imaging agent and then perform a PET/CT scan. They will compare the results of this new scan to standard imaging methods to see which is more accurate at finding cancer spread.
