Light-Based scanner could spot dangerous muscle pressure before It's too late
NCT ID NCT05672381
Summary
This study tested whether a special light-based scanner could help doctors diagnose acute compartment syndrome earlier. Researchers used the device on 15 adults with serious arm or leg injuries who were suspected of having this dangerous condition. The goal was to see if the scanner's measurements of blood flow and oxygen in muscles could identify which tissues were at risk before permanent damage occurs.
