Revolutionary eye scan could spot corneal disease earlier

NCT ID NCT02118922

Summary

This study is testing a new type of microscope to see if it can detect early signs of corneal weakening diseases like keratoconus. Researchers will scan the eyes of 168 volunteers, including people with healthy corneas, those with keratoconus, and people who have had LASIK surgery. The goal is to see if this new technology can measure the stiffness of the cornea and help doctors diagnose problems sooner.
