New shot aims to save hips from steroid damage
NCT ID NCT07471880
Summary
This study is testing if a new injection called RAB001 can slow down or stop bone death in the hip caused by long-term steroid use. About 160 adults with early-stage damage will receive either one of three doses of the injection or a standard weekly pill. The main goal is to see if the injection reduces the size of the damaged bone area and improves hip function better than the pill after 48 weeks.
