New injection aims to halt 'Bone Death' in hips damaged by steroids
NCT ID NCT07471880
Summary
This study is testing whether a new injectable drug called RAB001 can stop or slow down bone tissue death in the hip joint caused by long-term steroid use. About 160 adults with early-stage hip bone damage will receive either one of three doses of RAB001 or a standard weekly pill (alendronate). Researchers will use MRI scans and hip function questionnaires over 48 weeks to see if the injection helps preserve the hip bone and improve movement.
