Heated blood protein creates Longer-Lasting dental membrane

NCT ID NCT07281053

Summary

This study tested a new type of dental membrane made from a patient's own blood (called e-PRF) against the standard collagen membrane. The goal was to see which one better preserves jawbone after a tooth is pulled, preparing the site for a future dental implant. Researchers compared four different ways of using the new membrane in 55 patients who needed a tooth extraction.
