Scientists develop new scan to unlock mystery of lost sense of smell
NCT ID NCT07380945
Summary
This study aims to create a more detailed CT scan scoring system to see how blockages in the nose affect the sense of smell in people with Central Compartment Atopic Disease (CCAD). Researchers will compare their new scan analysis method to an older one in 120 participants to see if it better predicts smell problems. The goal is to improve understanding of why smell loss happens in this condition, not to test a new treatment.
