Scientists develop new scan to pinpoint why patients lose their sense of smell

NCT ID NCT07380945

Summary

This study aims to create a more detailed CT scan scoring system to see how blockages in the nasal smell area relate to smell loss in patients with Central Compartment Atopic Disease (CCAD). Researchers will compare their new scan analysis method to an older one in 120 participants to see if it better predicts the severity of a patient's smell problems. The goal is to improve how doctors diagnose and understand this condition.
