Scientists try to 'Wake Up' tumors to make cancer drug work better

NCT ID NCT05178693

Summary

This study is testing if taking a pill called ASTX727 for 5 days can make a targeted cancer therapy (Lutathera) more effective for people with advanced neuroendocrine tumors. The pill aims to 'reawaken' a specific target on the tumor cells so the Lutathera treatment can work better. Researchers will use special PET scans to see if the target reappears and monitor how patients respond to the combined treatment.
