Summary
This study tests a new approach for adults with locally advanced rectal cancer that hasn't spread. Participants get a short course of radiation followed by a mix of two chemotherapy drugs and an immunotherapy drug. The goal is to shrink the tumor enough so that surgery may not be needed, or to increase the chance of a complete cure with surgery.
