First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for adults with locally advanced rectal cancer that hasn't spread. Participants get a short course of radiation followed by a mix of two chemotherapy drugs and an immunotherapy drug. The goal is to shrink the tumor enough so that surgery may not be needed, or to increase the chance of a complete cure with surgery.
