New catheter aims to cut down painful infections and blockages
NCT ID NCT05931887
Summary
This study is testing a new type of silicone urinary catheter to see if it causes fewer problems than standard catheters. About 200 adults who need a long-term catheter for bladder drainage will try both the new catheter and their usual one for three months each. Researchers will compare how often issues like infections, blockages, and pain occur with each type.
