First patients to test new pill targeting common cancer genes

Summary
This is the first human study of an experimental oral drug called VVD-159642, designed to block specific cancer-driving proteins. Researchers will test its safety, how the body processes it, and early signs of effectiveness in 220 adults with advanced solid tumors that have spread or cannot be surgically removed. The study will first find a safe dose when taken alone, then test that dose alone and in combination with two other cancer drugs.
