First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study aimed to create a simple blood test to find markers of a process called epithelial-mesenchymal transition, which is linked to many cancers, especially breast and lung cancer. Researchers worked with 250 adults who had breast or lung cancer but had not yet started treatment. The goal was to develop a non-invasive way to detect cancer earlier and monitor how well treatments are working.
