Doctors test 'Pop Out' method to make repeat C-Sections safer
NCT ID NCT04968340
Summary
This study tested a new surgical technique called 'external pop out' for delivering a baby's head during a repeat cesarean section (C-section). Researchers compared it to the standard method to see if it causes less damage to the mother's uterus, reduces bleeding, and shortens surgery time. The trial involved 600 women having a planned, repeat C-section with a single, full-term baby in head-down position.
