Could a simple blood test replace prostate biopsies?

NCT ID NCT07144228

Summary

This study is testing whether a new blood test called HeLP™, which analyzes proteins in platelets, can help doctors detect prostate cancer more accurately. Researchers will compare this test to current methods like PSA blood tests, MRI scans, and biopsies in 300 men being evaluated for possible prostate cancer. The goal is to see if this simpler blood test could eventually reduce the need for more invasive procedures.
