Surgery redesign aims to give amputees a 'Feeling' robotic arm

NCT ID NCT03882073

Summary

This study is testing a new way to perform arm amputations. The goal is to prepare the remaining limb to better control advanced robotic prosthetics and potentially restore a person's sense of where their limb is in space. Researchers will compare outcomes in 10 people who receive this new surgery to 10 people who had a traditional amputation.
