New stitching trick for robotic colon surgery shows promise

Summary

This study tested a new way to reconnect the bowel after removing a cancerous part of the colon during robotic surgery. 39 patients were included to see if the new stapling technique worked well and how safe it was. The goal was to find a better method for this common step in colon cancer surgery.
