New drug strategy aims to spare leukemia patients from stem cell transplants

NCT ID NCT07259707

Summary

This study is testing a new treatment plan for adults with a specific genetic type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The goal is to see if a combination of targeted drugs and chemotherapy can control the cancer so well that patients might not need a stem cell transplant, which is a standard but difficult procedure. Researchers will closely monitor patients for tiny traces of cancer to guide their treatment.
