Can removing a birthmark make a Child's life better?
NCT ID NCT02280889
Summary
This study looks at whether surgically removing large, dark birthmarks (congenital melanocytic nevi) improves children's quality of life and reduces feelings of social stigma. Researchers will follow 100 children, aged 9 months to 16 years, who are having their birthmarks removed. They will compare questionnaire answers from before the surgery to answers one year after, to see if the procedure helps children and their families feel better.
