Summary
This study looks at how a type of white blood cell called neutrophils changes in children with sepsis, a severe infection. Researchers will compare blood and breathing tube samples from 75 patients in the ICU with sepsis to those from children having planned surgeries. The goal is to learn more about these cells so doctors can develop better treatments in the future.
