New study aims to unravel brain inflammation after cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT07375628

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study will observe 10 patients receiving CAR-T therapy to understand why some develop brain inflammation (ICANS). Researchers will use brain scans and cognitive tests to compare those with severe ICANS to those with mild or no symptoms. The goal is to learn more about the condition, not to test a new drug.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early-stage observational study with only 10 participants. It is not testing a treatment, so it may not lead to direct patient benefits.
