Brain wave training may ease radiation pain in head and neck cancer

Summary
This study tests whether neurofeedback, a type of brain training that uses EEG to measure brain waves, can help head and neck cancer patients manage pain caused by radiation therapy. Seventeen patients will learn to modify their own brain activity to reduce pain and improve daily functioning. The goal is to find a non-drug way to ease treatment side effects.
