Brain training to fight cancer treatment pain

NCT ID NCT02543320

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a type of brain training called neurofeedback can help reduce acute pain caused by radiotherapy in people with head and neck cancer. During sessions, patients learn to modify their own brain wave activity with the goal of decreasing their perception of pain. The study aims to see if this approach is feasible and if it improves patients' comfort and quality of life during their cancer treatment.
