Nerve stretch study seeks pain threshold secrets in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT06357715

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at how a specific nerve-sliding exercise (called neurodynamic sliding mobilisation in the slump position) affects pain perception in healthy adults aged 30 to 64. Researchers will measure the pressure point where a sensation becomes painful, comparing the nerve-sliding technique to a different movement. The goal is to understand the body's pain-modulation mechanisms, not to treat any condition.
