First seen Dec 26, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a device called NEUROCUPLE™, a patch worn for 30 days after knee replacement surgery, to see if it reduces pain and the need for opioid painkillers. 156 adults having knee replacement took part, with half receiving the active patch and half a placebo patch. The goal is to provide a safe, non-drug option for post-surgery pain management.
