New Sugar-Tracking tracer could revolutionize disease detection
NCT ID NCT07253753
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a new imaging agent called NeuCaVis in 12 healthy volunteers. Unlike standard PET scans that can be hard to read in the brain and heart, NeuCaVis targets a sugar only used by inflamed tissues, potentially making disease easier to see. The goal is to check safety and how the agent spreads in the body.
